The Guanacaste region is often referred to as Costa Rica's "Gold Coast". It offers unbeatable beaches and many activities. The hotel is near shopping, boating, and offers many opportunities for the adventurous to explore.
ACCOMMODATION: The hotel has 32 rooms spread out on the 24 acre beach front property. Hotel Sugar Beach is alone on Playa Pan de Azúcar sharing the dry forest with only monkeys, iguanas, coatis, raccoons, and the beauty and abundance of Costa Rica’s Natural World. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable and offer privacy, large patios, air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite television, telephones, hot water and refrigerator.
Standard Rooms - Twelve rooms all of them with garden view. Their features include a comfortable set up, a large patio, surrounded by green landscaping. Two double beds, hot water, TV, air conditioning, safety deposit box and ceiling fans. These rooms have been constructed in 6 duplexes that are positioned on the property to give maximum privacy and some view to the ocean. One standard room available with king size bed.
Standard Ocean Front rooms - Four rooms with the best ocean front views. Their features include a comfortable set up, a large patio, surrounded by green landscaping. Two double beds, hot water, TV, air conditioning, safety deposit box and ceiling fans. These rooms have been constructed in 2 duplexes that are positioned on the property to give maximum privacy and one of the best views to the ocean.
Deluxe Rooms - Six rooms with swimming pool front and partial beach/sea view.Their features include a comfortable set up, including one king size bed, a large terrace surrounded by green landscaping, solar heated water, air conditioning, ceiling fans, TV, safety deposit box and a small refrigerator. These rooms have been constructed in 3 duplexes.
Honeymoon Suite - One of the best sea views of the hotel. Just lovely! It has one king size bed, hot water, TV, a/c, a large bathroom, small refrigerator and balcony with a hammock and an incredible view of the ocean.
Master Suites - Three suites with swimming pool front and partial beach/sea view. Their features include a comfortable set up, including one bedroom with a king size bed, living room, a large balcony, surrounded by green landscaping, solar heated water, air conditioning, ceiling fans, TV, safety deposit box and a small refrigerator. These rooms have been constructed on top of the Deluxe rooms.
Coati Suite - One suite with one bedroom, a king size bed, hot water, TV, a/c, safety deposit box, wet bar, living room with a sofa-bed, surrounded by vegetation and partial ocean view.
Beach House - Two bedrooms with 2 double beds each, one bedroom with a king size bed, 2 bathrooms, hot water, TV , a/c, kitchen (equipped with tableware) and living room. The house can be rented with 2 or 3 bedrooms.
The Grand Villa - Our beach front Grand Villa is tucked away on the southern edge of Playa Pan de Azúcar. From this tranquil spot, guests enjoy the added privacy with full access to the hotel’s facilities. This two-story Spanish colonial home has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, TV, a large dinning/living room, full kitchen, second story deck and saltillo tile porch with wet bar, BBQ, tables, chairs and lounges. All with breathtaking ocean views!
THE BEACH: The white sands are exeptionally beautiful. The beach at the foot of this coastal range of volcanic rock dates from the Tertiary Era 60-80 million years ago. Flamingo, Potrero Beach, Plata Island and the Chocoyas Islands (3 hectares) can all be seen from Pan de Azúcar Beach or Sugar Beach.
RESTAURANT: In a large open-air restaurant, our chefs prepare wonderful nightly specials with a variety of fresh seafood, fantastic Costa Rican beef, chicken, and fresh vegetables and fruits. Costa Rican dishes are included on the menu. The sunsets you will experience from the restaurant will never be forgotten. |
