A theatrical show-kitchen with a wood-burning oven is the main feature of this restaurant, in which fresh ingredients from the best suppliers play an important role. Bellpepper Restaurant seats 120 guests; it also has a private dining room seating 22 guests and a summer the terrace with beautiful views of the river Rhine, for 70 guests. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The contemporary decoration creates a modern and stylish ambience. The atmosphere is enhanced by Bellpepper's brigade of creative chefs 'on stage' preparing the daily specialities. The interaction between guests and the chef contributes to this unique atmosphere. Restaurant Bellpepper also features a walk-in wine boutique with a wide selection of local and international wines and a special humidor with an international range of cigars.
The Malakoff Garden is in the courtyard of the fort which was built in 1873 to bolster the defence of the medieval city walls. The name of the fort goes back to the Malachow hill in the Russian Crimea, on which the fortress Sebastopol was situated. Since the Crimean war (1853 - 1856), the expression 'Malakoff' is a synonym in German for a massive and solid building.
Technically the 'Hofgarden' of the fort, this garden is open during summer, and it exudes a wonderful atmosphere below the old red sandstone walls. Enjoy the excellent atmosphere with local wine offers and regional food.
Located in the Lobby, with a glass roof and floor-to-ceiling windows giving views of the Rhine, the M-Lounge & Bar provides an informal, intimate but elegant atmosphere. Throughout the day, a selection of dishes, snacks and drinks are served. Continental breakfast, light lunches, afternoon coffee and tea, aperitifs and cocktails complete the menu.
