| Built for the 1929 Sevilla Expo. It has always been considered to be one of the more contemporary gems of Andalusia. The building is neo-mudejar, inspired by Arab architecture, which was so much in vogue at the beginning of the century. It was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII on occasion of Her Royal Highness Infant Isabel’s wedding with Count Juan Zamoyski. The prestige of this hotel has never decayed. Practically every personality visiting Sevilla stays here, from Kings to famous singers. The location of this hotel is without doubt also privileged, in a quiet district only two blocks from the famous Sevilla Cathedral, the third largest in the world, and not more than 10 minutes walking distance from the heart of town where you find those wonderful pedestrian streets covered with canvasses during summer, thus providing an under the shade effect of being in one of the world’s largest malls. The most characteristic part of this hotel is its inner patio surrounded by a gallery which becomes the center of the Hotel’s life, like a worldly cloister with lounges providing intimacy or the ideal setting for a chat next to the bar.
