Newcastle is on the east coast of Ireland 30 miles south of Belfast and 75 mile north of Dublin. From Belfast take the main A24 going south out of Belfast and keep to this road all the way to Newcastle. From Dublin follow the main N1 route going north out of Dublin and right past Dublin International Airport. At Newry take the B8 to Kilcoo and then the A25 to Castlewellan. Tiger Woods use this course as a warm up for the Open Championship. The British seniors has been hosted here 2000 - 2002 and has attracted golfing greats such as Nicklaus, Palmer and Player. Royal County Down is a mere 2 minutes drive from our door and the Championship Course together with the Annesley Links make us the perfect place to stay on your golfing adventure. Within thirty miles of the Burrendale there are a multitude of golf courses to choose from. The championship course at Ardglass, Kilkeel and Spa are some of our closest courses. |
